Gateway to Pixieland
Through many years of exploring the hills, hollows, and woodlands of
Wisconsin, I've often wondered what the gateway to a magical world would
look like. I'd like to think it would look something like this.
When I found this tree with its twisted mossy roots, I knew it would be
perfect as the portal to a fantastic world. As with most of my manipulations,
the rest of the images were gathered in the years to follow. Incidentally,
I've tried several times but have never been able to locate this particular
tree again. Perhaps it vanished because it was magical after all.
